Is The Mycore App on Kindle?
Question from Misty: I was wondering if the mycore app would be available for my Kindle anytime soon? I haven't yet figured out how to load googleplay apps on there yet.
Issue with Syncing
Bug from Heidi: The app I got from the Apple Store shows my values from when I started this a long time ago. I see that the sync is complete. I get values and settings, which allows me to change preferences, but I cannot figure out how to show a calendar or anything else...Am I missing something?
Awkward Adding New Plan/Project
Question from Sarah: Does anyone else find it awkward that the "add a new plan or project" button is at the bottom of the list of plans? Is there a shortcut somewhere that I'm not seeing?
Multiple "All Day" Entries in Mysore Calendar
Bug from Matthew: For some reason on my calendar I have multiple All Day entry on my calendar today. Not sure why.
Trouble With Value Statements
Bug from Stuart: "I had some trouble with my Value Statements today. (I'm just setting up my MyCore account for the first time, so these are the first Value Statements I've done.) When I clicked on a particular Value from the Values page it brought up a new page with just that value. (This is the page that allows you to change the image as well.) I then clicked on "Clarifying Statement" which brought up a box for typing in my statement. (I saw I could add an example statement as well.) I typed in a statement then clicked the arrow link (>) and moved to the next value. I did this for 4 or 5 values. I never saw a save button so I assumed they were saving automatically. However, when I went back to the values page, all of the clarifying statements I had just done were gone. Did I miss something? Is there a way to save them after typing them in? My wife also uses MyCore and showed me that statements can be added directly from the Values Page (without clicking on a particular value) and that seems to work, but this seems to be a bit of a bug, so I thought I'd let you know."
Syncing Not Working
Problem from Alison: "I'm using the app and adding things fro my choice list to my calendar and they're not showing up. I tried syncing and that didn't work."
Duplication in Gtask with Mycore
Question from Deanna: "Is anyone else having problems with duplicates for recurring tasks in the program that syncs with MyCore? Ever since I started having MyCore sync with Gtasks (google) last week, I'm now getting duplicates that are showing up in Gtasks. I check off a task and normally it would disappear and just show up on the next day that it is supposed to recur on and now it shows up with a duplicate as well. This has only happened since I took all the tasks that synced over to MyCore and made them recurring in MyCore. Any thoughts?"
Unfortunately at this time mycore is compatible with Google Calendar but it is not compatible with Gtasks. This is an item we will be implementing in the future. I know this isn't the answer you wanted to hear.
Tips for Adding Tasks
Suggestion from Randall: "When I try to add the task, I can get into it and type, but there is no way to exit the typing without hitting my back arrow at the bottom of the screen. I can do that and then I come to as screen showing the task I just created. At the top of the screen are three options: Cancel, New Task, Done. Then there is a blank white space with a blue check mark off to the right. Then a blue bar with the word details in white on it. Under that it says task name and then there is a list for Group, Date, Location, and # Tags. There is no apparent option to save. If I click done at the top, a box pops up stating that I need a task name. If I click on Task name, nothing happens. I would expect my keyboard options to come up but they don't. So I have to hit cancel."
Add Project To Values
Ok, here's something I ran across. So, I'm looking over the projects that I entered and realized that most of them were for my "Home" value and many other values were being neglected.
I click on my Values page and realize that there is no way to enter a project from that page based on one of the values I've neglected...nor from that value's specific page.
I think it would be nice if I could click on or hover over a value and be able to add a project based on that value. :)
Another thing that would be nice is if when I clicked on the Value's page, it would list my current active projects connected with that value beneath it.
One thing that I do like is the fact that I can "Pause" a project so that I don't have too many irons in the fire at once. Thank you for that. :D
Exporting Core Values To Word
Suggestion from Randall: "Another thought, for both the web and the phone app. Has any consideration been given to allow for the export of our core values statements to a Word doc or an Excel spreadsheet, or PDF, or adding a print option. That would be very helpful. I travel a lot and I can't always log into mycore. My statements are online. I'd really rather not have to recreate it separately. My inclination, then, will be to maintain it offline so I can print it and not bother with either app"
