Trouble With Value Statements

Jessica Foster 9 years ago updated 9 years ago 4

Bug from Stuart: "I had some trouble with my Value Statements today. (I'm just setting up my MyCore account for the first time, so these are the first Value Statements I've done.) When I clicked on a particular Value from the Values page it brought up a new page with just that value. (This is the page that allows you to change the image as well.) I then clicked on "Clarifying Statement" which brought up a box for typing in my statement. (I saw I could add an example statement as well.) I typed in a statement then clicked the arrow link (>) and moved to the next value. I did this for 4 or 5 values. I never saw a save button so I assumed they were saving automatically. However, when I went back to the values page, all of the clarifying statements I had just done were gone. Did I miss something? Is there a way to save them after typing them in? My wife also uses MyCore and showed me that statements can be added directly from the Values Page (without clicking on a particular value) and that seems to work, but this seems to be a bit of a bug, so I thought I'd let you know."

This one has us scratching our heads a bit. It should auto-save in the scenario you are talking about. What desktop platform are you on (PC or Mac), what OS are you running, and what web Browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc).

Stuart: " I entered my value statements on my children's computer which is running OS 10.6.8 and I was using Google Chrome. Since the OS is so outdated, we figured that was the problem. However, my wife then tried from her computer running OS 10.11.5 using Safari and had the same result."

Good news we were able to duplicate this issue and we will get this fixed for you ASAP. Good job finding this bug and thanks for participating in our mycore beta.

Stuart: "I should also add that whenever I add text in the manner described above, when I attempt to navigate away from the page, a message pops up asking me if I am sure I want to leave this page. That usually only happens (I think) when a browser "senses" that you have entered data but have not saved it."
